The Green Standard Core Principles
We believe New York’s cannabis consumers deserve:
1. Safe, tested, and clearly labeled products that have been grown and processed in New York State, without exception. Simply put - no product from outside New York State should be in the legal cannabis supply chain. Consumers deserve trust and transparency in how their cannabis is produced and sold.
2. Only licensed dispensaries that meet basic standards of security and customer care should operate. All illicit shops must be shut down. We need to protect the NY cannabis consumer from unregulated, unsafe products in the illicit market.
3. Equity-driven community reinvestment that benefits those harmed by past prohibition, along with diverse ownership that reflects New York’s communities.
4. A system where regulators, licensees, and advocates work together to protect the public.
